The Archdiocesan Sanctuary Basilica of Our Lady of Lourdes is a Parish Temple of Catholic worship under the Marian invocation of the Virgin of Lourdes. It is located in the main square of the town of Chapinero in the city of Bogotá.

National Shrine “Nuestra señora del Carmen” is a Catholic temple
dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the invocation of Carmen.
It is located in the neighborhood La Candelaria, in the center of Bogotá.
It was designed by the Salesian architect Giovanni Buscaglione
in Florentine Gothic style, with Byzantine and Arabic touches.
The building consists of three naves and a plant in Latin cross,
with brown and cream paint, emblematic colors of the

Shrine “nuestra señora de Guadalupe”

The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe is an hermitage on Guadalupe Hill. The first hermitage was built in 1656, and blessed during a pilgrimage on September 8 of the same year. The hermitage was destroyed by the earthquakes of 1743, 1785 and 1827. During the presidency of Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera, the hermitage was reconstructed, but affected again by the 1917 Bogotá earthquake. The hermitage was rebuilt in 1945 by Jorge Murcia Riaño and blessed by archbishop Ismael Perdomo. In 1946, the 15 meters (49 ft) high statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe, sculpted by Gustavo Arcila Uribe, was constructed on top of Guadalupe Hill. In 1967, the chapel and road leading up to it were constructed.

The Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica Primate of Colombia,
officially the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate
Conception, is a Roman Catholic cathedral located at the
eastern side of Bolívar Square in Bogotá, D.C., Colombia.
It is seat of the Archbishop of Bogotá, Cardinal Mon. Ruben
Salazar Gómez. The Cathedral was built four-times in the same
place. The cathedral holds the remains of Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada,
founder of Bogotá. The cathedral with an area of 5,300 square
meters is the biggest in Colombia and one of the biggest ones in
South America.
