SIC presented awarded to The Best Colombian Inventors of 2018

"The National Colombian Inventor Award 2018" was organized by the SIC with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The objective of this award is to stimulate national inventors’ creativity, who contribute to the improvement of people's daily lives. It also seeks to stimulate creativity in the Orange Economy.

In 2018, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) awarded four winners in four different categories: children, youth, research, and industry. There were 12 finalists, and more than 160 applications were submitted.

The winners received a free patentability test for their inventions. They also received a diploma from the SIC and recognition from the WIPO. In addition, all the nominees will have priority access to the SIC's Inventors’ Assistance Program (PAI for its acronym in Spanish).

Next year’s call to participate in the National Inventor Award will be opened in February 2019. The instructions will be published on www.sic.gov.co.
