SIC attended the LATIPAT Seminar in Costa Rica

Thanks to the sponsorship of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO), and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM), the Coordinator of the Systems Applications Working Group, Ms. Jenny Rodríguez, was invited to participate in the "Seminar on the installation and use of the WIPO tool: Optical Character Recognition in Published Patent Texts (LATIPAT)", which was held from November 25 to December 1 in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Ms. RODRÍGUEZ’s participation was relevant as the Systems Applications Working Group will directly participate in implementing the new WIPO tool: "Optical Recognition of Characters in Published Patent Texts". In addition, their technical knowledge of the SIC's virtual platforms will allow Ms. Rodríguez to replicate the knowledge she acquired in the Informatics and Technology Office.
