The Deputy Superintendent for Jurisdictional Affairs of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Jorge Mario Olarte Collazos, assisted to the “13° Session of the Advisory Committee on Enforcement (ACE) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)” that took place in Geneva, Switzerland, on September, 2018.

The ACE Meeting allowed multiple discussions around (i) awareness building activities and strategic campaigns for young people, (ii) institutional arrangements concerning IP enforcement policies and (iii) WIPO’s legislative assistance.

Under the work program, Mr. Olarte was invited as a speaker to share the Colombian experience related to the “Quantification of damages in cases of infringement of IP rights”. Additionally, he was able to share other relevant aspects of the SIC’s jurisdictional faculties and the Colombian IP enforcement regime.
