Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio

Ms. Mónica Ramírez Hinestroza, Deputy Superintendent for Industrial Property of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to participate in different meetings of great regional importance. Specifically, Ms. Ramírez represented Colombia in the “2018 IBEBI Intergovernmental Committee Meeting” and in the “Steering Committee Meeting of PROSUR - PROSUL”.

The “Steering Committee Meeting of the System of Cooperation in Industrial Property PROSUR-PROSUL” aimed to verify the progress of the activities of each committee of PROSUR, specifically: (i) progress in the construction of the regional form for trademark applications, (ii) study of the elements of PROSUR’s inventor prize and the promotion mechanisms of PROSUR's PPH, (iii) organization of training workshops for SMEs and the incorporation of new members to PROSUR, (iv) digital marketing campaigns and, (v) approval of the work plan.

On the other hand, the “Annual Meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of the Ibero-American Industrial Property Program (IBEPI, for its acronym in Spanish)” aimed to analyze the progress in the lines of action in which Colombia is leader, these are: (1) Generation and management of Industrial Property assets and (2) Articulation with the Ibero-American programs of Innovation.
