The Deputy Superintendent for Industrial Property, Mónica Ramírez assisted the “WIPO High Level Forum on utilizing the IP System for Economic Social and Cultural Development” organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in cooperation with the Japan Patent Office (JPO) in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the FIT/Japan on February 22 and 23 in Tokyo, Japan.

During this forum, Ms. Ramirez was able to share the Colombian experience on intellectual property (IP) policies and strategies regarding the current international circumstances and emerging trends in the field of IP. This event, also allowed Ms. Ramirez to identify best practices to utilize the IP system for economic, social, and cultural development, which will enrich future advances of the Superintendence in this field.

The participation of Ms. Ramirez in the roundtable discussion on the utilization of the IP System and Future Development of International Cooperation for Economic, Social and Cultural Development brought her great knowledge in current tendencies on industrial property.
