Ms. Mónica Andrea Ramírez Hinestroza, Deputy Superintendence for Industrial Property Affairs, participated in the “IX Ordinary Meeting of the Andean Ad Hoc Committee of Intellectual Property (CAAPI)", organized by the Andean Community of Nations (CAN), in the city of Lima, Peru.

The participation of the SIC was very important because it was the construction of the roadmap for the preparation on a new proposal of the Andean Regulation “Marca País”. A delicate and sensitive issue for all Andean countries that needed to be discuss by the highest public officials of the different offices.

Also, Ms. Ramírez was able to present Colombian comments regarding indications of origin and geographical indications, comments well received by the other Andean delectations, as well as the review of the commitments assumed by all the CAN Members at the last meeting of the CAAPI Committee.
