Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio

During the 2017 - 2018 period, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, acting in representation of Colombia, put itself forward to be president of the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN). This application was received satisfactorily by ICPEN, which decided to assign this important role to the SIC for the period 2019 - 2020.

This means that the Deputy Superintendence for Consumer Protection,  for the period corresponding to July 2019 until July 2020, will be the authority that, in its capacity as president, proposes, leads and coordinates the work of the highest and technical level that this Network carries out.

This is the first time that Colombia is designated as president of ICPEN.
