Due to a violation of the free competition regime, SIC sanctioned three companies that installed internal gas networks and the municipal mayor of La Mesa (Colombia)

Through Resolution 91153 of 2018, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce imposed a sanction on the companies REINGEGAS LTDA, ARIBUK SAS and Ludy Fernanda Cáceres (owner of SEG 3A GAS DE COLOMBIA) after demonstrating they engaged in anticompetitive conduct by setting the prices of internal gas networks installation services in residences in La Mesa (Cundinamarca) municipality.

The Mayor's Office of La Mesa (Cundinamarca) also received a sanction after it was verified that it had implemented a procedure or system limiting free competition after consenting and sponsoring the price agreement concluded between the companies under investigation.

The fines for the case exceed COP$ 500 million (aprox. USD$160.000).
